Preserve Description

The Tippecanoe River curves along this preserve’s southern boundary. The property hosts a variety of habitats including hardwood forest, pine forest and wetlands. In the Tippecanoe River are several endangered species including two species of mussels and four species of fish.

This land was donated to ACRES by the children of Bob and Ruth Kern. In naming this preserve, they wanted to honor their mother, a devoted conservationist with an abiding love of nature and the outdoors.
