Year in Review

Thanks to our members, 2017 has been a fantastic year. From new acquisitions and the launch of the 200 year ecological reflections to the dozens of events ACRES hosted, this year was full of celebration, fellowship, and most importantly, preservation. Thank you for the part you played this year.

Here are some highlights:

Marion’s Woods | The story of permanently protecting this place

Wet, Wild and Rare | Zoo Visitors Help Conserve Local Habitat

ACRES launches 200 year Ecological Reflections art & science initiative

55 more Wells County acreage given to ACRES

Family donates 29-acre farm to state land trust

Victory Noll sisters sell tract of land to ACRES for permanent preservation

Federal judge preserves land in Steuben County with ACRES

Looking into 2018, ACRES invites you to welcome the New Year with invigoration—and cocoa!

ACRES Land Trust First Hike & Open House on January 1st will allow you to explore the beautiful Cedar Creek Corridor to start your 2018. After the hike, you’re invited inside the ACRES Office for hot cocoa, light snacks and see the work your local nonprofit land trust has been up to.

Share the Trails hikes are fun ways to explore the preserves socially. These treks are free to the public, donations are encouraged. You can find out about the benefits of being an ACRES member and join on this hike.

Gather friends and family and join ACRES volunteers as they show off the places they love to help protect—for good. More than being an interpretive or naturalist type of hike, Share the Trails events are aimed at having fun in the woods, wetlands and prairies that ACRES preserves, sharing what you discover along the way.

Come play in the winter woods and wetlands!
