Paddle through three interconnected lakes—Oliver\, Hackenburg\, and Messick—while exploring ACRES protected lands from a unique vantage point. \nThis guided tour offers frequent wildlife-watching stops as we glide through diverse wetland habitats. Expect to see a variety of bird species\, aquatic plants\, and perhaps even turtles sunning themselves along the shore. \n\nEvent Details\n\nMeeting Location: Oliver Lake Public Access Site (parking in main lot)\nRoute: Oliver Lake → The Spreads → Hackenburg Lake → Messick Lake Public Access Site\nDistance: Approximately 3 miles\nDuration: 2.5 – 3 hours on the water\nDifficulty: Intermediate (previous kayaking experience required)\n\n\n\nWhat’s Included\n\nGuidance from ACRES Stewardship Director Evan Hill\nFloating catered lunch with beverages and water\nReturn shuttle service from Messick Lake back to Oliver Lake\n\n\n\nRegistration Options\n\nKayak Rental + Lunch: $40 per person (includes single kayak\, life vest\, and catered lunch)\nBring Your Own Kayak + Lunch: $15 per person (includes catered lunch only)\n\nRented kayaks provided by Mongo Trading Post and include life vests. Waiver required for rentals. \nPlease note: ACRES will only transport rented kayaks.
